About

I discovered the joy of movement as a dancer in my teens. As a young adult I was fortunate to discover the practices of yoga and meditation which have made my life distinctly better. These practices have given me a path to self-development, an inclusive world view and techniques that bring balance, peace and strength to an existence in NYC where I live, that requires tremendous resilience.

My studies have led me to train with some of the best yoga and meditation teachers in the world, locally in NYC (Eddie Stern, Alison West, Threes Physiyoga Method) and as far away as Massachusetts(Insight Meditation Center), California(Erich Schiffmann) and India. I have also traveled to Canada to study Strength Training (Mindful Strength). Along the way I got a masters degree in social work(Hunter College) and spent over 10 years working as a clinical social worker. My experience with mental health makes me sensitive to social and emotional factors impacting both body and mind. Recently, I have worked at Equinox, The Athletic and Swim Club, Marlene Meyerson JCC and FDNY.
